Who We Are
History
Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Delaware Valley is a 501(c)3 nonprofit community service organization founded in 1966 to educate consumers about money management, promote the wise use of credit and assist people in overcoming financial difficulties.
We have helped over 500,000 people gain control of their financial lives and, in turn, supported neighborhood stability and improved the quality of life for individuals and families in the region.
Over the past 42 years, CCCSDV's mission and activities have grown to keep pace with the changing and increasingly complex financial needs of the community and the diverse needs of those we serve.
In 2007, CCCSDV provided 12,592 individual counseling sessions, either in-person, at one of its ten community offices, or over the telephone. We provided financial education programs in the communities we serve, reaching 13,831 individuals through workshops, presentations and community events in 2007.
As of January 2008, the staff currently numbers 54 employees; 20 who are fulltime counselors.
Counseling is provided in English, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, and Turkish.
