Purses to Portfolios
Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Delaware Valley (CCCSDV), in conjunction with Citi, kicked off a new financial literacy program, From Purses to Portfolios, geared towards women on January 26th!
From Purses to Portfolios is a new CCCSDV financial education program that enables women to become more financially knowledgeable - helping them to make smarter financial choices by providing practical financial education classes on a regular basis. The ultimate goal of the program is for women to achieve greater financial independence for themselves and their families by attending financial classes on relevant, practical topics over time.
Women Take Charge of Your Money and Enroll in our Certificate Program!
The Certificate Program allows you to keep track of your classes and earn different levels of certification. Ongoing classes will be offered throughout the year, helping to build your financial foundation and improve your financial skills. Classes will be taught by CCCSDV educators as well as staff member of other nonprofits, financial institutions and community organizations.
Three Levels of Achievement
Level 1: Complete 10 hours of classes
Level 2: Complete 20-29 hours of classes
Level 3: Complete 30-39 hours of classes
Complete ten or more hours of financial education and receive a certificate of achievement and mention on Citi's website.
How you can Take Charge of Your Money and Earn Certification
- Check CCCSDV's website regularily to decide which classes to attend
- Register for classes online or call toll free at 800-989-2227
- Fill out the class log in the From Purses to Portfolios brochure for each class you attend
- Bring the log to each class and have the instructor sign it
- When you have completed at least 10 class hours, mail a copy of your completed log to CCCSDV:

Online Purses Classes: Wise Money Choices For Women
This series of online classes teaches women the skills necessary to maintain financial health and well being. The classes are self-paced and can be taken at your convenience and there are no time restrictions. The program has five courses with four modules each. Topics covered include credit, debt, goal setting, budgeting and tips and resources. Click here to register for this online course.
