ACT91/HEMAP Counseling
Pennsylvania residents who are facing foreclosure may be eligible for assistance through PHFA's Homeowners' Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (HEMAP). Homeowners seeking HEMAP assistance must meet with designated counseling agencies 30 days after receiving an Act 91 Notice. CCCSDV counselors prepare applications and forward the information to PHFA for processing. In addition, our counselors are trained to review the financial situation and help our clients identify other possibilities for curing the mortgage delinquency.
